Information on the migration of your Hostgator.in Customer Account and Orders

We are excited to announce that we will be migrating our infrastructure and our order management platform to a new state of the art system. This migration is scheduled to start on December 22nd at 6PM IST and will be completed by December 23rd, 2014 at 2AM IST.

At HostGator, we are constantly striving to improve the service we provide to our customers. As part of this ongoing effort, we are adopting a new order management system. This means that the interface you use today to manage your hosting packages and your domains, the Client Area, will change. Some of the features we are excited to bring to you as part of this transition are:

    • A simplified user interface to manage all aspects of your HostGator account - it's faster, easier to use, and just looks better!
    • An all new hostgator.in website design which is now responsive!
    • Automatic SMS Renewal reminders, so you never forget to renew your hosting package or your domain name
    • Powerful tools to simplify bulk domain orders

    Common Questions

Will this migration cause downtime for my websites?
No. We are only migrating your customer account and the associated meta-data which contains the orders you have with us. Your websites will not go down during the migration of your customer account.

Why are you doing this migration?
Simply put, migrating to a new billing and order management platform will allow us to scale our business more effectively. We've outgrown our current systems, and needed to move to one that will scale more effectively

    Is the Website Changing?
Yes! We are excited about the brand new responsive hostgator.in website which we will release in tandem with this migration. You will now be able to make purchases easily through your smartphone.

    Will my account information change?
Your username will stay the same (your email address), but we will be asking you to reset your password during your first login. You will be receiving an email from us with more details on Monday, December 22nd.

What about my account balance in WHMCS?
Your account balances will be transferred while we migrate your account. This will take a couple days to fully reflect in your account
